POSITION: Nail Technician REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Position reports to : Branch Manager Positions supervised : 0 ROLE SUMMARY To perform professional manicure, pedicure, paraffin treatments, Gel application, Acrylic (Liquid & Powder Enhancements), Gel Extensions and Nail Art. To provide and maintain the highest standard of services, recommendations for client homecare, daily operational procedures and overall excellent client care, resulting in repeat client visits and increased sales. ACCOUNTABILITIES To be a team player to ensure the highest possible standards of service delivery. Be welcoming, friendly, professional and tactful in all communications with clients. Be discreet, do not talk about yourself neither draw too much attention to your own life situation. Use the “It’s not about you, it’s all about them” philosophy. Communicate in English at all times. No native language to be spoken with your colleagues in case the client doesn’t speak that particular language. Perform full consultation with the clients to understand their nail condition and needs. Provide excellent manicure and pedicure services. Provide paraffin treatments Perform excellent Gel, Acrylic, Gel Extensions and Nail Art application. Recommend a nail care program as per the clients’ needs. Discuss with clients the various treatment options and their cost implications. Responsible for serving clients in an appropriate and professional manner, understanding the clients’ needs and making sure of client satisfaction. Discuss the clients’ required next visit and inform reception about the same. Educating the clients and recommending products to help the clients maintain perfect nail/hand/feet conditions. Be punctual, prepare for each treatment in advance and ensure the specified treatment time is adhered to. Ensure that product usage is kept to manufactures specification and not used in excess. Maintain the trolley set up to company standard and ensure the correct quantity of products is maintained throughout the day. Attending all required technical training sessions, nail seminars and keeping up to date with new products, techniques and trends and reviewing trade publications. Retailing nail care products as per clients’ needs. Ensure that personal grooming and appearance standards are maintained at all times. Be on time for shifts and prompt with each appointment. Be flexible with schedule in an attempt to support the needs of the salon. Maintain and update equipment, products, services and standards as required. Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating clients in these areas. Actively promote the products, services, promotions and/or discounts available in meeting maximum sales goals. Maintain an active profile on social media to increase visibility of salon, increase awareness of your talent, stay abreast of latest trends and increase following. Social media status should mention the salon name and state that you are employed by us. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as per the salon’s policies and procedures. Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required. Communicate to Management all occurrences involving staff or clients that require attention. Handle clients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by clients ensuring complete client satisfaction. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Maintain confidentiality and the highest degree of professional ethics at all times. Ensure you read the Standard Operations Manual, have a thorough understanding of and adhere to the rules and regulations. Perform any other related duties as determined necessary by Management.

Where does it come from? Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32. Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
